  • Primary school – starting at Preparatory through to year 6
  • Secondary school – starting from year 7 to year 12
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET) – is for students who want to study and gain real-world experience in a career that interests them. The course combines theory and on-the-job training to prepare students to work in the industry after graduation.
  • Higher Education – After completing year 12, students can study a chosen field in a university that offers a wide range of courses from humanities to engineering and from law to health sciences.

International students who have completed their country’s degree can continue to further study in postgraduate courses for a Master’s or Doctoral degree.

International students are required to hold a student visa. In addition, the student must study with an institution and a course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) to continue to hold a valid student visa.
